Outline: HKIRA has recently issued our "IR Guidance amid Coronavirus Outbreak" with the objective to provide practical foresights for IROs on handing communications with investors and other stakeholders. HKIRA has invited panel speakers to join us on an online webinar to share their viewpoints and insights on key issues relating to announcing preliminary annual results, and offer their practical tips on how listed companies could manage investor relations tasks more impactfully in the midst of travelling restrictions and the coronavirus epidemic.

Ms. Khoo, CFA, CPA, is an asset management and investment banking professional with comprehensive buy-side and sell-side experience, inclusive of portfolio management, fundamental/quantitative/pre-deal research covering Asian and China markets, multi-asset class investment, and Big 4 financial advisory with financial institutions. She is an Executive Director of HKSFA, and CFA Institute’s Presidents Council Governance Committee Member. Ms. Khoo served as the President of HKSFA from 2016 to 2018.

Mr. Louis Lau
Partner, Capital Markets Advisory Group, KPMG

Mr. Lau has extensive experience in auditing with particular focus on capital market transactions. He is experienced in assisting clients on IPOs and post-listing transactions. He is the lead audit engagement partner of a number of listed companies in various sectors including TMT, consumer markets, real estate and industrial manufacturing. He has taken part in developing guidance on investment circulars published by the HKICPA. Mr. Lau also regularly takes questions from the press and journals on capital market hot topics.

Ms. Victoria Mio

Ms. Mio has been part of the Hong Kong-based Asia-Pacific equities investment team since 2008. Prior to this, she spent 2 years in the emerging markets team in Robeco’s head office in Rotterdam, the Netherlands and in 2007 she started managing the Robeco Chinese Equities fund. She holds various professional designations, such as Chartered Financial Analyst, Certified Public Accountant (US) and a Financial Risk Manager. Before joining Robeco in 2006, She Mio worked for seven years in the US and five years in China and held senior positions in several financial institutions including JPMorgan Chase & Co, Asterion Capital LLC, and Banco Nacional Ultramarino SA. She started her career in 1992 and has over 20 years of experience in financial service industry. She obtained an MBA in Finance from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. Ms. Mio also holds a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and Finance from the University of Macau.

Ms. Wong is a Senior Managing Director in the Strategic Communications segment of FTI Consulting and is based in Hong Kong. With over 22 years of communications consultancy experience, she is a reputation management leader with a holistic suite of strategic communications expertise. She is a senior regional business partner for clients and teams – focusing on values, impact and operational excellence. Ms. Wong is a well-rounded strategist and counsellor in corporate reputation management, issue and crisis response, public affairs and government relations, media relations, branding and marketing communications.
