About the Speakers

Moderator:

Mr. Eric Yau
Chief Strategy Officer, Link Reit


Mr Yau is Chief Strategy Officer of Link and is responsible for developing, communicating, executing and sustaining corporate strategic initiatives. He currently oversees all functions covering external affairs, stakeholder management, including corporate affairs and marketing, investor relations, sustainability, as well as corporate finance. He joined Link in November 2010 initially with the Investment team responsible for merger and acquisition for the Company, and the formulation of the corporate sustainability strategy. He is one of the responsible officers of Link for the purpose of the SFO.

Prior to joining Link, Mr Yau worked as an investment banker and corporate manager in DBS Asia Capital, CLP Holdings, UBS Investment Bank and Jardine Fleming.

He holds an MBA from Harvard Business School, an MA from Harvard University, and a BA from Brown University.

Mr. Michael Ling
Deputy Company Secretary
CLP
Mr. Ling is the deputy company secretary for CLP Holdings Limited and oversees the day to day functions of CLP Group Corporate Secretarial and works closely with the Board of Directors of CLP Holdings and the Board Committees.

Prior to taking up this position in 2016, Mr. Ling was the legal counsel on the international team of CLP Group Legal Affairs for over four years. Before joining CLP, he was in the group legal function of AIA Group Ltd and was involved in the restructuring of the AIA group of companies. He also has extensive experience in corporate transactions and advisory work including public and private M&A and capital markets work in Hong Kong, London and Beijing.

Mr. Ling holds a Bachelor of Laws and Bachelor of Commerce from the Australian National University and has completed the IMD’s Applied Leadership Program and the FT Non-Executive Director Programme. He is a Fellow of Salzburg Global Seminar.

Ms. Catharine Wong
MD - Head of Share Registry & Issuer Services

Ms. Wong heads Share Registry and Issuer Services.

Prior to joining Tricor, Ms. Wong was the Head of Depository and Nominee Services in HKEX, responsible for overseeing the daily operation and business development of all the depository, IPO and corporate action processes in HKEX. Highlights include implementation of the China Stock Connect, re-engineering key processes in the Central Clearing and Settlement System and leading the discussion on the Uncertificated Securities Market (USM) operation model.

Ms. Wong has over 20 years of experience and has held various operations, client relations and business management positions in major international banks. She holds a Bachelor of Commerce from The University of New South Wales, Australia, a Master's degree in Applied Finance from Macquarie University in Sydney and is a Certified Practising Accountant (CPA).

Ms. Wong is currently the Executive Committee Member of the Federation of Share Registrars Limited (FSR) and a member of USM Working Group led by the Joint Working Group, including Securities and Futures Commission, HKEX and FSR.
