This webinar will focus on recent developments and trends in the sustainable finance market and opportunities available for debt issuers in Hong Kong and the region.

Moderated by Atul Jhavar, Head of APAC Green & Sustainable Capital Markets at Barclays, the event will bring together a virtual panel of experts from industry to exchange views, including:

Mr. Atul Jhavar
Head – APAC Green & Sustainable Capital Markets / SEA DCM

Atul Jhavar leads Barclays’ Green & Sustainable Capital Markets business in Asia-Pacific. He also oversees the firm’s DCM business in Southeast Asia and has 15 years of experience in the Asian fixed income markets. Atul has spent most of his career based in Singapore and Hong Kong, and has executed numerous transactions for sovereigns, banks and corporates in the region, including green bonds, green project finance and sustainability-linked debt.

Mr. Bertrand Jabouley
Head of Sustainable Finance - Asia-Pacific, S&P Global Ratings

Bertrand Jabouley is the Head of S&P Global Ratings’ Sustainable Finance team in Asia-Pacific. In this role, he ensures quality, consistency and timeliness in analytical works, while maintaining an active dialogue with the company’s stakeholders on sustainability-related topics.

He was previously in charge of coordinating the analytical coverage for the Heavy industries, Energy & Mining and Transportation sectors across Southeast Asia.

Before relocating to Singapore in 2014, Bertrand spent three years in the Paris office, covering primarily investment holding companies, business services providers and building materials producers.

Prior to joining S&P Global Ratings in 2011, Bertrand spent nine years at HSBC in Paris, initially in a credit analysis position for three years and later in a financing advisory role.

Bertrand holds an MBA in International Business from the Asian Institute of Technology (Bangkok, Thailand) and is a graduate from the ESCP Europe business school (Paris, France), Lancaster University (U.K.) and University of Paris-Dauphine (Paris, France). He is also a CFA Charterholder

Ms. Cheryl Tay
Senior Associate - Sustainable Finance Solutions, Hong Kong

Cheryl joins the SFS Team focussing on mainly Greater China and other parts of Asia Pacific. Based in Hong Kong, she primarily leads the commercial development for Sustainalytics in Hong Kong, working closely with underwriters, lenders and corporates to understand their sustainability ambitions and provide counsel on how to integrate sustainable finance solutions into their business and navigate the regulatory changes in these markets.

Prior to joining Sustainalytics, Cheryl spent 3 years with HSBC’s Global Banking division covering large real estate names in Hong Kong and acted as a trusted advisor on sustainable financing. She was also actively part of the HSBC Sustainable Finance Working Group where she organized and hosted cross-business events. She has experience in credit risk management, loan negotiations, market transactions, bond issuances, corporate finance and ratings.

Cheryl received her Bachelor of Arts in Business Management from Durham University in the United Kingdom and has worked in Singapore, Shanghai and London.

Mr. Venn Saltirov
Portfolio Manager - BlackRock

Venn Saltirov is a portfolio manager in the Asia Fixed Income team at BlackRock and responsible for ESG integration and dedicated ESG Asia Credit strategies.
