What is the Hong Kong Investor Relations Association?
The Hong Kong Investor Relations Association is a professional body for investor relations practitioners in Hong Kong and the region.

Who are its members, and what do they do?
The Association has members drawn from corporations and consultancy companies in the region. Members are involved in managing the relationship and flow of information between listed companies and their investors. Investor Relations Officers' disciplines include investor relations, finance and corporate affairs as well as company secretariat and other senior executive roles.

What are its objectives of the Hong Kong Investor Relations Association?
To promote excellence in investor relations through:
• Carrying out research, publishing information and providing education and training;
• Increasing awareness of investor relations techniques and best practice;
• Providing a forum for members to exchange views and share knowledge and experiences;
• Representing the views of the members to regulatory bodies, the investment community and government; and
• Supporting high professional and ethical standards in the practice of investor relations.

What types of membership are available?
There are two categories of membership, namely, Full member and Ordinary member. Please refer to our website for detailed information.

How much is the annual subscription fee?
There are different annual subscription fee for different category of membership and all subscriptions are renewable one year from the date of application. Please refer to our website under "Membership" for details.

Who runs the Hong Kong Investor Relations Association?
The Hong Kong Investor Relations Association is run by the Executive Committee. In addition to the Executive Committee, a number of sub-committees steer the day-to-day work of the Association. These bodies are made up of volunteers from the Full membership of the Association. The officers of the Hong Kong Investor Relations Association and the other members of the Board are elected annually at the AGM.

Does the Association maintain links with other professional bodies?
As well as its links with other investor relations societies, the HKIRA maintains links with other professional bodies through its best practice partners.
