Buddies Program Officially Launched

HKIRA is pleased to announce that the HKIRA Buddies Program has officially launched in late April. The Buddies Program is a unique membership benefit that matches participating HKIRA members (“Buddies”) with senior IR officers (“Buddies Leaders”) to provide an invaluable opportunity for the Buddies to
- become more acquainted with other HKIRA members through HKIRA events, and
- broaden their horizons and mindsets in the field of IR via advocacy by the HKIRA Buddies Leaders.
HKIRA members who currently work at listed companies (or in the past 12 months) are eligible to join the 12-month Program as a Buddy and for free. Availability is limited and on a first-come-first-served basis.

6th IR Awards
Public Voting Completed in Success

W e are very pleased to announce that the 6th HKIRA IR Awards has successfully completed its online public voting phrase on April 15.
The 6th IR Awards has a total of 15 award categories this year, honouring best IR practices of individuals and companies. Among these awards, 12 categories are open for nomination and voting, while the other 3 awards are selected by the judging panel.
Announcements will be made later on the Prize Presentation Ceremony and other related details. Stay tuned.

CIR Exam Taking Place on May 11

The CIR Revision Class was held on Mar 14 as scheduled but online due to the travel and other restrictions related to the covid-19 situation. The CIR Exam will take place on May 11. Details have been sent to the class takers.

The interactive Webinar was a great success held on zoom, with a full house of management representatives of listed companies, professionals from the IR industry and investment community exploring with the Panelists - Ms. Catharine Wong from Tricor, Mr. Michael Ling from CLP, Mr. Osbert Kho from IR Asia - and the Moderator - Mr. Eric Yau from Link Reit - the practical options for listed companies to do shareholder meetings, and discussing further on aspects such as legal and technical requirements, concerns from shareholders etc. An ample amount of time was arranged for the Q&A session after the Panel Discussion to cater to the overwhelming amount of questions received from the audience.
