Outline: | The COP 26 are going to take place at Glasgow at the end of the month, bringing together heads of state, and climate experts to agreed coordinated action to tackle climate change. The conference will focus on carbon reduction achievements for different countries within these six years since the Paris Agreement was signed, as well as the progress of de-carbonization under the impact of COVID-19. How did the companies performed in the Asia-Pacific region to accelerate the low carbon transition? In view of this, Friends of the Earth (HK) and the World Benchmarking Alliance (WBA) will be organizing the Carbon Neutrality Forum shortly after COP26, which will focus on the performance of Asian oil and gas companies in a quest to a low-carbon transition. Friends of the Earth (HK) will also announce the details of the first batch of Certified ESG Analyst (CESGA®) scholarship recipients in Hong Kong, with the aim to encourage young people to engage in the field of sustainable development and to promote regional ESG development. |
